Celebrating 70 Together! – August 2022

On Wednesday 3rd August 2022, Vivian celebrated a historical milestone, the company`s platinum anniversary, together with its employees, families and close friends at Costa Del Sole in Mellieha.

It`s been 70 years since Wilfred Gatt, a local pharmacist founded the business in 1952. Today Vivian is a leading distributing and marketing organisation specialised in healthcare and the company remains a family-run business based on solid values set out by its founder.

To mark the 70th anniversary, the company`s Corporate Social Responsibility team have embarked on an ambitious project to collect Euro 70K to donate to the Malta Community Chest Fund before the end of the year, to commemorate 70 years of service to the patient.

The Malta Community Chest fund is an entity the company holds close to heart. Just like Vivian, the aim of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation is to improve the quality of life and care of individuals and society in general, without any form of discrimination on the basis of social class, gender identity, age, ability, health, status or religion.

Throughout the year the staff have organised a number of events and on the night of the celebration raffles were held to raise funds.

During the event, Vivian Gatt, Vivian Chairman took everyone through the company’s journey since its formation whilst Mr John Huber , Chairman of the MCCF , shared with us the work of MCCF and its constant challenge to raise funds , whilst congratulating Vivian on its success and lauding the noble gesture to support MCCF.

Vivian will also be reaching out to various stakeholders such a pharmaceutical suppliers, pharmacies and healthcare clinics to reach this important milestone together and is also organising a Vivian family fun day which will be open to the general public at Fgura FC Football Club and hope to see you there. More information will be made public shortly.
