Emerging Trends in Aesthetic Medicine Take Centre Stage as Vivian Prepares SKINVIVE Launch in Malta

The global aesthetics industry is shifting towards natural results, patient-specific treatments, and a focus on skin health and wellness.

Regenerative approaches are gaining traction for their ability to stimulate collagen production and improve skin health at a cellular level, offering subtle, longer-lasting results.

At the same time, artificial intelligence is becoming an essential tool in the clinic, enabling precise facial scans, 3D modelling, and hyper-personalised treatment plans that account for individual skin type, genetics, and lifestyle, while promoting inclusivity across diverse populations.

Representing Malta at the recent Aesthetic & Anti-Ageing Medicine World Congress (AMWC) in Dubai, Vivian’s General Manager, Yan Grima, and Business Unit Lead for Allergan Aesthetics, Lesley Anne Cassar, engaged with international experts to explore these emerging trends.

“Attending AMWC gave us a clear view of how aesthetic medicine is evolving globally,” said Grima. “These insights help us support our medical partners in Malta, ensuring they can offer treatments that reflect international standards and patient expectations.”

The increasing popularity of rapid weight-loss medications has also created new aesthetic demands and patients experiencing sagging skin, volume loss, or hair thinning are turning to non-surgical interventions, including facial fillers, biostimulators, and regenerative hair therapies, to restore balance and vitality.

Lesley Anne Cassar added, “The trends we observed reinforce the importance of skin health and natural enhancement. SKINVIVE, our newly rebranded hydrating injectable, fits perfectly within this landscape, supporting skin hydration and quality as part of a patient-focused, regenerative approach.”

SKINVIVE, formerly Juvéderm Volite, is being introduced in Malta as part of Allergan Aesthetics’ global expansion, which will see the product available in 35 new markets this year, bringing its total reach to 57 countries worldwide.
